Principal's Update September 2023

We’ve just come off a very successful 4 week tour with our Level 5 Diploma students. A real highlight was our last performance at Alfriston College where we caught up with two alumni who are now carving out careers in education with Isaac Tuia now HOD Music at Alfriston with Jireh Falaniko as one of his main Itinerant teachers.

Catching up with alumni Isaac Tuia (HOD Music at Alfriston College) and Jireh Falaniko (Itinerant Music Teacher)

This tour involved staying on marae in Te Tii (near Kerikeri) and then down in Hastings. When you go out on the road you get to know what people are like at their best and worst and while it is a lot of effort it is a great performance experience. Meeting new people each day and performing around the country is a great opportunity provided here at EXCEL.

Applications are flowing in and places are filling in fast for what is shaping up to be a bumper year in 2024. It’s not too late to apply here
