Karl has been working in the NZ music scene for over 20 years in many different capacities. Co-founder of one of the most successful cover bands in NZ “Union”, he is also composer, keyboard player and musical director for progressive funk outfit Groovadelica, and is currently playing for NZ latin icons Kantuta and Ardijah. He also runs an Afro-Cuban quartet “Manteca” and has been touring in John Rowles’ entourage here and in Australia for the last 2 years, plus many other bands.

Karl experienced temporary pop success as one of the producers of K’Lee’s “Broken Wings” which charted at #3 on the NZ Charts in 2001, as well as writing and arranging songs for Moana Maniapoto, and Dave Parker’s albums in the 1990’s.
