Michal arrived from Poland two years ago to study jazz piano at the University of Auckland Jazz School under Kevin Field - one of New Zealands accomplished jazz pianists.
As with many jazz pianists, Michal began his playing career as a classical pianist before moving to jazz after 10 years.
Michal studied jazz for three years in Poland, before moving to New Zealand. Michal has performed in groups and projects throughout Europe including Jazz, Blues and Gospel Bands. In Auckland in addition to his studies he performs regulary on the jazz circuit both solo and with bands.
Michal is passionate to see his students achieve and to perfect their skills as a pianist. He is a great asset to our school and an outstanding tutor.
