A comprehensive course in theatre drama that is performance based, rather than theory orientated. 

Course Components Include:

• movement
• characterisation
• voice production
• audition techniques
• script analysis
• production roles and processes
• improvisation
• rehearsal techniques
• knowledge of theatre space and terminology
• the application of these skills to the performance of a role on a major production

A wide range of scripts will be studied, to encourage flexibility and the use of a range of styles and techniques.

IMPROVISATION
Developing improvisation skills in individual and group situations.
 


VOICE
Learning about voice production as it relates to acting.


 
ACTING TECHNIQUE
Learning about and applying various techniques for scene work.


 
ACTING ON STAGE
Prepare, rehearse and act on stage in end of year production.


 
MOVEMENT
Learning and applying movement and observation skills.


 
AUDITION
Learning about and applying techniques in auditioning processes.


 


Electives:  Drama majors may choose ONE out of the following elective subjects but this is optional.  Please note that the Music Minor subjects cost $550 plus GST as these involve individual tuition:
